...And speaking of new stuff at the store...

Today a new member joined the Merc family. Most of you probably know Jerry already. He spent so much time here that we finally decided to put him to work. He'll be working evenings and weekends when he's available -- so stop in to say hi (and be sure to ask him plenty of challenging questions to break him in).

Now, don't have to ask me hard questions. I've got lots to learn to get even a quarter the knowledge that these ladies have! I'm excited to be part of such a wonderful group of people!

I've been knitting since March of 2002. My friend Maggie saw me staring at her knitting and handed me a pair of needles and some yarn. She patiently taught me to knit continental. Purl came about a month later.

In the past three years of knitting, I've acquired quite a bit of a yarn stash. Last year on vacation, I planned part of the trip so I could visit yarn shops. :)

If you don't know me, I'll be the guy there working hard to keep up with Jan, Sallie, Phyllis, Jill and Barbara. And yes, I'm always moving that quickly. It's not just because of the coffee. Iced coffee, with two pink sweetners and half and half...just in case you wondered.
